Collector versions of these coins will be released at a premium above face value and, during 2009, the coins will also become available at face value from banks and post offices.
The First Coins of 2009!
The very first coins of 2009 should be the Lunar Calendar Silver Series, produced by the Perth Mint in Western Australia. To enable them to synchronise the gold and silver bullion series, not only will the 2009 "Year of the Ox" coins be issued earlier than usual, but also the 2009 "Year of the Ox", and 2010 "Year of the Tiger" will be released at the same time.
There is an official embargo on images and promotion of these until 4th July 2007, and we are informed that no further orders will be accepted after 31st August 2007.
