Thortveitite
Thortveitite is a known as a mineral, scandium yttrium silicate (Sc,Y)2Si2O7, being the main ore source of scandium, but in 2004, a gem example was found.
This newly discovered gemstone was reported in "The Journal of Gemmology", 2008 Volume 31, Nos 1/2.
