Platinum is a wonderful choice of metal for necklet chains, even when worn on its own with nothing else whatsoever.
When you need a strong chain to suspend a pendant, especially for valuable treasures like a diamond solitaire, or a special gift, then you cannot choose better than platinum.
Platinum is naturally "white" (actually silvery gray) so that it does not need rhodium plating like white gold alloys, and it never discolours or tarnishes in normal use. In addition, platinum is very strong and hard-wearing.
With today's fashion for the understatement of white metals, platinum is a natural and popular choice.
One small point, although platinum is strong and durable, it is fairly soft. Because of this it will "give" slightly when twisted or strained, any flat snake-like platinum chain will easily develop small kinks, which cannot be easily removed. Most of the flat platinum chains have developed a few small kinks even before they reach us. Please be aware of this when ordering.

We have only shown details and prices for the 16" and 18" chains as these are the most popular, especially as pendant chains. Styles - Links
The link styles we currently have in stock are as follows:-

• Spiga Rope
  Spiga is an Italian word meaning "ears of corn". It is actually a rope chain, and is strong, and very suitable for use with diamond pendants, but also looks great on its own (or with clothes!). Don't confuse this spiga rope chain with cheap hollow decorative rope.
• Diamond Cut Curb
  A traditional diamond cut slightly flattened curb chain. Probably the most classic choice for a diamond solitaire pendant.
• Plain Round Trace
  A simple classic chain very similar to a belcher chain. A strong link that will easily support the weight of most pendants.
• Rope (Prince of Wales)
  Another strong chain, this design is made up of four solid links that are slightly twisted making it ideal to wear on its own.
