Reverse Designs
The reverse design for George III, George IV, and William IV, Victoria young head, and Victoria jubilee head is a crowned shield, although the shield design vary.
The reverse design of all other half sovereigns is Pistrucci's St. George and the Dragon, except for 1989, which carried a special design to commemorate the first sovereign in 1489, showing the monarch seated facing on a throne.
