Elizabeth II Florins
Coins of Elizabeth II were issued from 1953 onwards, although the last florins issued for circulation were dated 1967, and there was one later florin issued in a Royal Mint proof set of 1970. There were two different "types" of florin issued during Elizabeth's reign:-

First Issue
For 1953 only. The obverse design shows the queen facing right, and the inscription ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA BRITT OMN REGINA
The design of the reverse shows a large double rose, surrounded by six tressures of five thistles and one leek, each interspersed with shamrocks or leeks. The inscription reads FID DEF TWO SHILLINGS (DATE).
Second Issue
On the second issue, the inscription on the obverse was changed to ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA. There is a cross at the beginning of the inscription.
