Australian Chinese Lunar Calendar One Ounce Silver Collection

One Ounce Silver Bullion Coins
Australia first issued a one ounce silver bullion coin, the Kookaburra, in 1990.
In 1999, it was decided to issue a silver Chinese Lunar Year series of silver bullion coins, following the success of the gold versions which started in 1996.
Prior to the release of the Series II Lunar Calendar gold coins the Perth Mint decided to release the final three silver coins early to enable them to synchronise the gold and silver collections. The 2008 year of the mouse, 2009 year of the ox, and 2010 year of the tiger were released in September 2007 so we can now offer the complete collection of the Series I Chinese Lunar Calendar silver bullion coins.

Our Offer
We have designed our own packaging to house this complete collection. The coins fit four to a card, so the complete collection is contained in three cards that then fit into hard Perspex cases to protect the coins and display card.
We think this set would make a nice gift for any coin collector or someone with an interest in the Chinese Lunar Calendar, especially as the Perth Mint coins tend to be produced to a much higher finish than some of the other world mints, and the designs are very decorative and attractive.

Prices and Availability
As we are now prime distributors for the Perth Mint we are able to offer their coins at extremely competitive prices. However, as these coins are no longer being produced we have had to increase our prices slightly to reflect the fact that when they are gone, they are gone.
We have based the price for this set on the price of £15 per coin then thrown the display cards and cases in for free!

Sold Out!
In March 2008 we sold out of the one ounce silver Lunar Monkey (2004) and as the Perth Mint have now started production of the Series II Lunar Calendar coins, they have ceased production of the Series I. If you would like a complete set of Lunar Calendar Coins we would suggest that you start collecting the Series II coins now to ensure you don't miss out!
