Description
Obverse
The obverse features a portrait of Queen Beatrix facing left, formed of concentric circular arcs, which have been artistically sculpted to reveal the portrait. The inscription is also in three circular arcs, and reads from the outer to the inner lines, all in lower case:-

Reverse
A holographic type image, showing the baby Catharina-Amalia when viewed directly, and her parents Prince Willem Alexander when viewed from the right, and Princess Maxima when viewed from the left. The inscription reads:-

Images
We were delighted to have been able to able to successfully capture the image of baby Catharina-Amalia, it can be very difficult to photograph a holographic image. Unfortunately we were not able to capture the other two images on the reverse, but we did manage to get a photo where the holographic image seems to have vanished, and we have included this in the images shown on this page.
Would also make a great christening gift for a 2004 or 2003 baby. Most of our staff were very impressed with this coin, and thought the holographic images were very "cute" and attractive. If I tell you that our staff are usually immune to getting excited about coins, you will get an idea of the attractiveness of this coin.
Although we have described the reverse of the coin as having a holographic type image, it is not a true hologram, but a "hidden image" using a 3-dimensional effect. Rather than trying to describe how this is done, we suggest that you obtain one of these coins, and inspect it closely using a magnifying glass.
