Overwhelming Demand!
The demand for Euro coins and sets from San Marino, has been so great that we received none whatsoever of our original order, and have had to source sets from other dealers and speculators. This also applies to the Vatican, and we suspect the same will apply to Monaco, but we are still waiting for firm news. We are currently in process of returning payments or deposits. We have, since early January, had multiple requests for 100, 500, and 1,000 sets of each which we have turned down, and indeed stopped accepting any orders for San Marino since January. We now have a limited quantity of official sets available, but regret that we have to ask market prices for them.

General Introduction
San Marino Starts Using The Euro on January 1st 2002
On new year's day 2002, San Marino, like the other 11 members of the Eurozone, started using Euro notes and Euro coins for cash transactions. Within a few months, the old coins and banknotes in Lire will be withdrawn. We expect to have uncirculated sets of Euro coins from all of the twelve member countries available in January 2002, and are accepting advance orders now.
We have only recently received details of the designs and images of the Euro coins for San Marino.

Eight Coins Per Set
All national Euro sets contain all 8 coin denominations unless otherwise stated.

We Advised Early Ordering!
Despite the lack of advance information about San Marino Euro sets, there has been fantastic demand for them. The best advice we could give was to order or reserve them early before they sol out! This may have sounded crazy, but it can be quiet a common occurrence when dealing with mints, governments and bureaucrats. They have a monopoly position, and can sell all they want to before giving out any useful consumer information such as price or availability. We fill all our orders in the order in which they were received. In a zero allocation situation such as this, there is little we could do. We guess that local dealers or speculators must have placed large orders for San Marino Euro sets, and have perhaps had more "influence" than us! Similar comments also apply to the Vatican, Monaco, and other countries.
