Italy Starts Using The Euro on January 1st 2002
We have 2002 Italian Euro sets in stock now for immediate delivery. All eight of the Italian coins have a different design, and this makes them one of the most attractive sets of Euro coins, along with the Greek set.
On new year's day 2002, Italy, like the other 11 members of the Eurozone, started using Euro notes and Euro coins for cash transactions. Within a few months, the old coins and banknotes in Lire have been withdrawn. We have uncirculated sets of Euro coins from all of the twelve member countries available in stock, and are accepting orders now.
In Italy, the euro coin designs were subject to scrutiny by a national technical and artistic committee before being presented to the nation on RAI uno, Italy's largest national television station. A different design has been selected for each denomination, chosen from masterpieces by Italy's famous artists.
We can now supply Italian starter packs.

Descriptions of Coin Designs in Italian
