Eight Different Coins Issued
Not all values of coins are issued every year, it depends on demand, but in 1966 eight different denominations of British coin were issued.
They were halfcrown, florin, English shilling, Scottish shilling, sixpence, threepence, penny and halfpenny.

No Official Coin Sets
Way back in 1966, the Royal Mint were not in the habit of issuing proof or uncirculated coin sets every year. Proof or specimen coin sets were only issued on special occasions such as coronations and jubilees. It was not until 1970 that they started to issue coin sets every year for sale to collectors.

Eight Coin Selected Set
We can offer sets of all eight coins in selected condition, packaged in an attractive blue card.

1966 Sets Contain:
All eight pre-decimal coin types, halfcrown, florin, English shilling, Scottish shilling, sixpence, threepence, penny, and halfpenny.
All attractively packaged in a specially designed plastic case.
During January 2007 we were unable to source all of the coins for 1966, and so are currently struggling to make up these sets. Please telephone prior to ordering to check availability.
