Ten Different Coins Issued
Not all values of coins are issued every year, but there were 10 different British coin types issued in 1937.
The denominations were halfrcown, florin, English shilling, Scottish shilling, sixpence, silver threepence, brass threepence, penny halfpenny and farthing. The silver threepence is a slightly scarce or "key" date, having one of the lowest mintages of any recent silver threepences. No pennies were issued in 1937.

No Official Coin Sets
Way back in 1937, the Royal Mint were not in the habit of issuing proof or uncirculated coin sets every year. Proof or specimen coin sets were only issued on special occasions such as coronations and jubilees. It was not until 1970 that they started to issue coin sets every year for sale to collectors.
